Brilliant (as always), if biased view of the issue. Of note to me, his citation of wingsoverscotland.com aka Jimbo does politics: Of course we're just idiots with a website and nobody should listen to OUR opinion about anything. and his social contrast of Scotland and the Isle of Man - if true, thos...

Outstanding point BT! Although, with good coffees, I find that they give up their brighter, more aromatic tastes early, then move to the richer, more fruity flavors later. My ideal is a cup that makes me smile across that full range of temperature. That's not to say that I'll throw out a good Sulawe...

Cap, I can't offer a great deal of advice here - even though my BP would appreciate a lower caffeine intake, the ones that I've tried tend toward the thin and bitter. I hope yours is better - I like the idea of going half-caff. For the decaf portion, it might be good to go with a fairly neutral coff...

JaRiMi, please put on your old guy glasses and fracking read what I wrote - your response simply echoed what I posted. Is what Jimbo quoted from you any different from my more expansive: Yep, different stills, different barrels, different seasons, different years - blending those into a well-balance...

Like jarimi states it's about the variables Yep, different stills, different barrels, different seasons, different years - blending those into a well-balanced whole is the blender's job. Doing that master task and creating a consistent product is a fine art. To do so with product from multiple dist...

Rum is always about the master - the blender - not the distillers and/or agers. Big corp will never get that, hence quality will continue to decline. Richard Seale: train your children and apprentices well - craft rum may be as rare as original Williamsburg (VA) houses. (OK - for our Euro friends, W...

I'm cheap - SW from ATL, room and registration. I'll figure out how to scrounge up computers for the kiosk and cover printing petition copies and.. what I need, a database/spreadsheet of the official sugar content measures of those rums that have been tested, which I will include as a a handout with...
