Just finished the Peter Stokkebye this Jimbo, nice stuff smoked best in a cob for me. Got the most flavour out of it from a cob. Worth getting in my opinion.

I know what I like and can tell the difference between a good rum and a bad one but when it comes to describing a taste I'm not your man, not very good at it. Don't think I have th epalate for it.

Re: Pusser's Rum British Navy (75% ABV)

Apologies for posting a direct link to my site. I won't start doing this regularly I assure you. However, I figured you all would have an interest in a review of this fine specimen! A nice warming glass of this is well deserved after a hard days Hydrometer testing! http://thefatrumpirate.com/pusser...

Anything from Samuel Gawith or Gawith and Hoggarth (available from GQ Tobacco) is about as classic as it gets. Some old aromatics and some very very strong ropes and plugs. I would buy more from GQ if it wasn't for the cost of shipping. Just got an order from GQ today had some Breakfast Blend can r...

And a few from Gawith... 1. Squadron Leader: surely an old classic, a competitor to Dunhill's EMP, light to medium, actually on the border between English and Balkan. Criticized for being a bit mild, praised for being a bit mild. 2. Skiff Mixture: often spoken of with Squadron, this one is definite...

Re: Mac Baren Dark Twist

Awhile ago I bought some Mac B Dark Twist and I found it not only difficult to keep alight but also not overly impressive. I jarred it and left it. Yesterday I wanted a nice smoke but a simple one without too much complexity or spice, so I looked at the Dark twist again. But this time to add an ext...

Had a bowl of Navy Flake yesterday Ultimate smoke it was. I could taste the rum in every puff and the smoke just flowed. will have to get some ...

It is quite sad that lots of people who drink rum are exposed mostly to the sugared versions of the drink. I am waiting to go to the UK Rumfest in order to see the level of exposure the different brands get and whether Bristol Sp/BBR/Cadenhead are present. Bristol Sp/BBR/Cadenhead are present. The ...
