Unfortunately, I can't get them where I live. The only one I can get is a very young Worthy Park white rum. None of their other rums. The RumBar White rum is very good. When it comes to Jamaican rum especially the style you are after age is not a factor. In fact it is but the younger the more "...

I've a bottle of the Barbados 12 (older bottling than this 11) and the St Lucia 11. I only picked them up the other day so haven't tried them. The Barbados rum comes from WIRD rather than Foursquare but I thoroughly enjoyed the Cockspur 12 year old so expect this to be decent as well. Likewise an 11...

Rums from

Hampden Estate, Monymusk and Worthy Park will all fit the bill. Try some aged Independent bottlings if you can find some in the USA.

We are spoilt over here with a lot of Cadenhead and BBR Jamaican rums amongst others.

I've reviewed it (I won't like it here but its on the site should you wish to have a read) and is indeed a very BIG Demerara rum.

Not many left if you can get a hold of a bottle do so!

Velier has a page up where you can see the labels better. http://www.velier.it/prodotti/ricerca-e-selezioni-gargano/habitation-velier They do give lots of info. The product is very unique, the aged foursquare for example. It's 100% pot still and aged for 2 years in cognac casks and bottled at barre...

Reminds me of gambling systems for Horse Racing.

A super punter has a sure fire way of making millions and it works so well out of the goodness of his heart he sells it to people. Rather than just raking in the millions from using his system....................

The Velier 15 Year Old Caroni complete with retro labelling is still pretty easy to pick up......I'd choose that. The 12 is pretty good.

The Caraibes blend has added sugar but the older ones don't.

Some interesting bottlings if you can get them at a reasonable price. We've only had the Caraibes blend and the Guadaloupe are the only ones that have officially made UK shores. Neither have tickled my fancy.

i think fatrum had mentioned that they had put an.old rum in the cask in the past. when i was there they told me they refresh the cask when it gets to the middle. The lad from the Cadenhead's store in London told me (via email) that they had put some 25 year old Demerara in the cask when I asked wh...

I can't notice any difference between the two bottlings V/X or the Signature Blend. Appleton maintain that the only rum which has changed is the UK bottling of the 8 Year Old which has been brought in line with the profile of the US version. The rest have just had the labels updated. I've got them a...

Without taxes UK "booze" prices would be the cheapest in Europe.......

We are taxed to death but you have to look at the bigger picture.

From what I understand the company comes out of the Netherlands. Which is the gateway for many European bottlers to get their stocks of rum before blending. This is where most the "bulk" rum is sold in Europe. With no information given on the age or distillery used for any of the rums you ...

From my experience I found the Flor De Cana 7 to be very much worth the price paid and the 12 not so. In fact I found the 7 better. It's long been known that putting a number on a spirits bottle will confuse and automatically make people assume the liquid inside is aged that long. There's nothing ne...
