Good points by all. It boils down to this for me.... Does the taste warrant the price. IMHO the answer is yes...and no. Is it fantastic rum? yes. Would I spend $55 and drive an hour each way to get it again? Maybe. The only hesitation I have is this... I like Smith and Cross a little more. Smith and...

Oh, and the Contradiction was only $40. I am not enough of a whiskey drinker to justify a $60 bottle. At that price I would go with a multitude of other choices in that range that are tried and true killer bottles.

Picked up 3 bottles of this on Thursday. Thus far, I couldn't agree with your assessment any more than I do. This is really good stuff. This site rocks. Thus far I have purchased the following rums based on the suggestion on this site. Smith and Cross Bacardi Heritage Revelation rum Pussers Scarlet ...

Well...I will be posting my own note and more detailed opinions on this rum soon. I will say this in the meantime... Mamajuana pretty much nailed it with this one. Huge ripe fruit, spices galore. Beautiful complexity...more and more flavors with every sip. I'm waiting until I get deeper into the bot...

Heeeeeee shoots and scores!!!!!! :)

can't get this in Pa so I had to make a rum run across the border into West Virginia. Luckily I live in Pittsburgh so WV is only about 30-45 minutes away. Got a great price on these as well. $54.00 each. In case the pic doesn't show, I scored 3 bottles of Revelation rum. Review will follow this week...

Yes, but they wont ship to Pa. Pa has archaic booze laws. It's a total pain in the ass sometimes.

Where can I find RL Seale's rums?

I am located in Pittsburgh, Pa and Pa doesn't carry his rums.

Anyone in bordering states know if they carry this rum?

Looking for the RL Seale 10 in particular but I know he makes several others.

Is the new one the signature blend or the reserve blend? It looks like it is the Signature Blend but I want to make sure.

My Appleton V/X is empty...

I was just wondering if the new Appleton that took its place was an adequate substitution. Anyone compare the two yet? Thanks in advance.

I have yet to have a Compass Box product that I didn't love. Even their Orange flavored whisky is fantastic.

Thanks... That is exactly the analysis I was looking for. :) The rum is really good. In comparison, it is very similar to the Worthy Park silver rum I recently purchased. However, the Muddy River had a much fuller and richer cane flavor...between the two, I would take the Muddy River all day long an...

Interested in your opinions here...

I recently had an extremely tasty rum from a company named Muddy River. It had an exceptional, heavy, cane flavor that my wife and I both loved. Their site has details of their distillation process. I know nothing about the process of making rum...I simply have never bothered until recently so I was...
