Merry Christmas!

Post by da'rum »

I hope you all have a great day and aren't given Zacapa 23 as a Christmas gift from well meaning relatives.

Splice the main brace.

Christmas thoughts...

First things first - we must all respect the season...
"Once again, we come to the Holiday Season, a deeply religious time that each of us observes, in his own way, by going to the mall of his choice."

- Dave Barry
And when that day arrives, who can't wait to unwrap their colorful presents?
I bought my brother some gift wrap for Christmas. I took it to the Gift Wrap department and told them to wrap it, but in a different print so he would know when to stop unwrapping.

– Steven Wright
It's a day when married couple celebrate their love anew.
The one thing women don't want to find in their stockings on Christmas morning is their husband.

– Joan Rivers
And it goes without saying we eat too much, drink too much and spend too much money. But let us rejoice anyway.
I've got all the money I'll ever need, if I die by four o'clock.

- Henny Youngman

All of which led me to wonder - does a legless man hang a glove over the fireplace, and if so, it that really fair?

Merry Xmas to all...

What great gifts!

In our humble abode, it was making a classic Old-Fashioned made in the original fashion - teaspoon of sugar and teaspon of water, muddled, 2 oz of Old Overcoat, stir and on the rocks in a frozen glass.

Add to that a short Sancho Panza, square-pressed and dark Quixote and... a very happy Christmas to me. Today, its a Bowmore 12 and possibly a medium smoke - a Sancho Panza Dulcinea.

Simple but nice...

Rum Sharing

Post by bearmark »

For my part, I shared rum (and other spirits) with the family and friends, including El Dorado 15, The Scarlet Ibis, Matusalem 18 Year, Aberlour A'Bunadh (Batch 42), Angel's Envy Bourbon and some mixing with Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Hendricks Gin and Doorly's 5 Year Amber. There were no complaints from the crowd.
