Need to win an argument? Or put Wolfy in his den?
The inspiration for this post was the Frozen One's wide-eyed ignorance of whether Pitu was really the #1 selling cachaca in the world. About 10 seconds with Mr. Google revealed that it was not and is not (and is not likely to be anytime soon). Which cachaca has long held that title?
Cachaca 51 at 18.5M cases, while Pitu struggles to maintain just 10M cases. Not even close. Turns out too that Pitu's growth is anemic, while cachaca Velho Barrelro about to blow right past them.
Do I sound smart and authoritative? Of course, but I'm just the messenger. If you too want to appear in-the-know, lol, well just check this out: "The Millionaires Club" - a competent and indepth listing of all the worlds million-case selling brands, with sales for the past five years, growth rates, and position changes. Tell's who's on the make, who's on the take, and who's sinking in the lake...

Do not hesitate to check this one, and be SURE to copy it, so that you too can pretend to be an expert, just as I did. Wolfboy, are you listening? It's time you informed your readers that Pitu ain't the one...

On a side note - Pitu has recently become available here in NC, at a ridiculous price of $23 for a 750, compared to the usual price elsewhere of around $15 for a liter. I bought a bottle once, I think I paid $11 for it a couple years back, would never buy it again. In the same $15 price range Ypioca is much better IMO, and for just $3 more here in NC there is Leblon.
