I coulda sworn we have a few Texans here...
We have recently been offered the opportunity to promote the Save Caribbean Rum petition - and - perform a rum tasting class in your neck of the woods: at Rum Fest Houston.
Now as far west as I go is across the Gulf, namely the west coast of Florida (some great tarpon and snook fishing, shelling for Sue Sea). Think Sanibel and also PIne Island. If you think you might be interested in representing The Rum Project and rum for that matter at this event, kindly PM me.
I'm paying top dollar, lol...
Calling all Texans: We need you!

I'm cheap - SW from ATL, room and registration. I'll figure out how to scrounge up computers for the kiosk and cover printing petition copies and.. what I need, a database/spreadsheet of the official sugar content measures of those rums that have been tested, which I will include as a a handout with the petition.
(BTW - has Flor de Cana been tested - if posted, I missed it.)

Oops...
So sorry if my sometimes wild and crazy sense of humour is not recognized as such. The Project is indeed a labor of love, and "top dollar" would be a single uh, top dollar. Bout as much as I can do would be to print up some flyers or handouts to be given to each paying fest goer. If any local Texan who participates here wants to drop by the fest to give physical presence to The Project and answer questions (plus attend the fest) that'd be great.
If so inclined and would also like to put on a brief rum tasting and presentation - you know, a few reference rums and a discussion of styles, that'd be nice too and perhaps could be arranged.
Lemme know if interested...
