Rumble Dept: Shall we pray for Barbados?

Post by Capn Jimbo »

If things weren't bad enough...

How 'bout a possible major earthquake in - gulp - Barbados? An island news service to which I suscribe has been reported an increasing number of tremors and mini-quakes over the last year and with increasing frequency. I took no note until this news report was linked in the newsletter:

Earthquakes recorded off Barbados, Trinidad; expert issues warning"
"The centre’s director, Dr. Joan Latchman, in separate interviews with the media in Barbados and Trinidad over the weekend, said a big earthquake is likely going to occur at some point."
There were four, yes four earthquakes in a row, of increasing strength. Apparently, this is NOT a good sign.

Good link just above by JaRiMi...

...looks like this is no joke, apparently the governments are now at "Orange" level, with widespread warnings and the source on 24/7, continuous observation and reporting. Some of you may remember that the Caribbean has had several major earthquakes (Port Royal, Jamaica).

This seems the real deal with all the signs pointing toward a serious quake anytime soon.
