Pricing Dept: A useful tool?

Post by Capn Jimbo »

Attention fellows and fellates, er fellettes!

I found this interesting price-finding tool (link) - do check it out and let us all know if it worked for you. Some tips...

1. The page linked gives a national search for Pusser.

2. To search for another rum, simply enter the name in the top box. Since most are non-vintage, either leave that box blank, or enter "NV" in it.

3. When you get a return, you can check down the left side of the page for what may be better listings.

The few I checked were pretty accurate. How 'bout you?

Misses some major online retailers I have ordered from in the past.

I searched for Campari and Hi-time wine in CA didn't show up at $18.99, even though it beats any price there. Same for Herencia mexicana tequila at Hitime, $17.99 would be the best price by $2.

DrinkupNY.com has an excellent rum selection and some of the best prices around. I just got another bottle of Scarlet Ibis from them for $26.99 which would be the best price if it came up in the search. Angostura 1919 at $29.99 would also top the list. Smith & Cross at $28.99 would tie for best. Oddly enough Denizen rum at DrinkupNY comes up in the search.

No Redbreast Irish whiskey at Merwins in Minnesota, $39, 2nd best price.

Don Julio 1942 tequila $81 with free shipping from bayway world of liquor in NJ is nowhere to be seen, best price is $89.
