1% unmasked. Ed Hamilton read here!!!!!!!!

Post by da'rum »

I'm going to write this here instead of in Jimbo's open letter to the fucktard three. I want to remain separate.

Edward Hamilton you are a tool, 1% was not Jimbo it was me. I joined your absolutely awful forum to be part of the community and perhaps have a decent chat with like minded people. It became pretty clear to me that your forum is pretty quiet with only inane boring threads showing any kind of life.

I was interested in the issue of the tax subsidies and rebates that will more than likely damage the industries of the Caribbean. Therefore I created a thread asking for opinions, not many were forthcoming so I decided to just post information and developments as they occurred. Every now and then someone posted either in agreement or with a differing point of view in which I tried to answer factually and without vitriol or personal attacks.

Having said that I did push a little to get the blog owners and site owners to at least join with me in discussion of the subject.

The thread only developed a slight edge to it when that fool Chip Dykstra aka Arctic wolf aka absolute incompetent rum reviewer chipped in coincidently at the same time as Lance who is also as about as useful to the rum world as an ashtray on a motorbike. These two wanted an argument to get the thread canned and I strongly suspect that your cowardly fingers Ed Hamilton were pulling the strings of these two muppets.

Dai was banned for voicing an opinion on the tax breaks? He did not once attack anyone, or start flaming he merely took a stand for something he believes in and you ban him? This alone is disgraceful behaviour. You want to stifle discussion and keep the realities of the corporate rum world hidden away from people who may be interested.

I challenge you Ed Hamilton,Lance or Arctic to discuss the issue and your thoughts on it. We can do it here where discussion is encouraged and not stifled. We can set rules and parameters so you don't feel bullied. We can set a no personal attacks rule for starters as we all already know the contempt in which we hold each other so table tennis style name calling would be redundant.

You won't though, I know you won't. Cowards prefer to hide behind banning and screening of posts on their blogs.

I'm with you on this. I think these so called rum experts know didly squat about what is going on and are just covering there backs as far as the freebie train is concerned.

Personally no one should of been banned the thread was one of dissent on the tax issue. No one was attacked on a personal level merely pulled up as if you were in a conversation that's what forum threads are all about on times.

I personally don't know a lot about the issue but, do know what the relative out come will be and this makes me angry at the greed of the big three.

There is no doubt about the definite lack of support for caricom from the rum blogging community on MOR in fact there is a definite apathy amongst people with influence.

A long deserved public thanks...

I was, of course, long aware of the thread "Opinions" carried forward for weeks at the MOR. I purposefully kept my distance, as I did not wish to inject Ed Hamiltons deep hatred for all things Jimbo. So we kept our distance and simply observed.

What I found absolutely amazing is how long this thread went on, with almost no reaction from the sycophantic simians whose main concern seemed to be carrying on about what they had to drink the night before, no doubt a Koolaid and column rum cocktail with mashed bananas and a splash of lime. You would think that a website purportedly dedicated to rum "the noble spirit" would be first in line to stand up for the Caribbean rums on whose hard working backs Hamilton , Burr and others make great profits.

But money talks and the really big money of Diageo obviously talks louder. Sad but true.

It's damning that Hamiltion not only failed to do his homework and was either totally incompetent or a total liar vis' a vis' his false and libelous claims that 1%, Dai and Spinner were all and the same, the Evil Jimbo in disguise. He could not seem to fathom that any other party could possibly find fault with his and the MOR's total abdication of their responsibilities to protect and advance the interests of Caribbean rum. I happen to know two of these fine fellows, and am proud of them for their honesty and true love for the Caribbean people, and for their last remaining cultural symbol - of fine aged Caribbean rum.

While you carry on in your tattered silk robes and choirboy monkeys.

Big news Ed. Your time has long since passed. You are passe. Of your claimed 4000+ members, it's only the butt kissing few that post over and over about trivial matters, all hoping to be chosen to blow the Great White Leader, and swallow his precious pronouncements that "..its' all good". Drink deep you monkeys.

It surely must bother you that in the world of rum, all the real leaders and authors, and most of the other rum sites, well known distillers and bottlers all signed the petition to Save Caribbean Rum, while you stooped to cheap and tawdry politics, lies and false accusations that under certain circumstances I'd sue your sorry ass.

But I'm feeling kind today, and for the poor monkeys you dominate. Thus I offer my sincere condolences for ye have committed the mortal sin of false accusations that you couldn't have proved for one reason.

They were dead wrong. A shitty bluff by the Ministry of Bluff 'n Stuff. Perhaps you thought you could intimidate the rum world at large - how very wrong you are. This comes from living in your "..it's all good" bubble with a small gaggele of managed monkeys who desperately seek your favor, and a good taste.

The good news is that your shabby and hurtful tactics are now revealed for what they are and the gloves are off. It was my sincere hope that we all could put aside our petty differences for the common goal of saving the proud and worthy people of the Caribbean. That sadly, is not to be.

Time for you to bend over and take a couple for the team.

You blew it and you blew them. Let's get it on! But it won't be on this thread by da'rum - a man of great courage, honest, passion, human and humane concern for our Caribbean brothers and sisters. I am constructing a Friends of the Caribbean Honors Page, with a Wall of Fame and a Wall of Shame.

That'd be your side Ed. I will now shut up and beg da'rum to forgive my uninvited intrusion into his thead. I have my own in which you, Ed Hamilton, will have to deal with me. I can't wait.

Cheers! Let's all drink now to da'rum, Dai and Spinner, to truth and justice and most of all, to the Caribbean people for whom we fight! Not so fast, Ed...

I am amazed at what gets a person thrown out of the so-called "Ministry".

From my personal experiences and exchange of emails with Mr. Hamilton, I deducted that he did not have any logic behind most of the statements he made, and was quick to resort to changing his opinions 180 degrees around at any point of the discussion. All attempts to reason or continue discussion in a gentlemanly fashion were met with rather abusive language, and rude, illogical statements.

I could only deduct from this that Mr. Hamilton was just a "front" or a puppet, with some other person(s) actually making the decisions, or demanding him to make them. Either that, or he is a very illogical person indeed.

I can only hope that those representing rum business interests globally would notice that Mr. Hamilton's actions do nothing but harm rum and its reputation. Honesty, straight talk and manners are needed in the business, if it wants to gain respect. Fortunately there are many such individuals in the rum business, but Mr. Hamilton is not one of them in my personal opinion.
