Pretty bottles, eh? Now as I pride myself on being non-commercial I really don't plug rums. And when a Frenchman from England, former barman, promoter and Tiki bar owner comes up with a rum labeled from Barbados, but with a Hawaiian name, and whose bottle, label and website smacks of marketing...
Count me out.
Except this time. I adore Barbadian rums, and after writing Mahiki I was informed that the distiller/blender of this newly announced product is none other than Richard Seale - a man who earns my highest esteem. I know that if Seales makes it, Seales bottles it and stands behind every drop. Any age statements will be entirely accurate and you can depend on this release to be of Seale's usual high quality. Great rums are all he makes.
I'm looking forward to this one...
