I agree that the FdC experience is a bit different than ED, but it doesn't have an agricole flavor. Are you sure it's agricole? Cap'n Jimbo categorizes it as demeraran.da'rum wrote:No Jankdc, FdC isn't much like the ED's. Agricole for starters and a much dryer body and finish.
FdC18 (a favorite of mine, along with ED15) presents much more wood initially after opening than any rum I've had, but it subdues over a week or so and becomes much more balanced. It's drier than ED15, but nothing like MGXO. ED15 is full of dried fruit flavors and is on the sweeter side for sure (like a vintage port, but not as sweet), while FdC18 is an experience more akin to a good bourbon, but not as dry. I thoroughly enjoy them both!
