The Rum Project Lives!

I've been looking forward to this day! I feel like I've been reunited with a long lost friend!

Second that!

A new bottle of Mount Gay Eclipse Black has been opened this evening in honor of the occasion.

I'm baaaaaack... sort of.

Thanks to all who privately expressed concern and support. Your private emails were received and VERY much appreciated. Sue Sea and I have had a bit of a rough go, what with physical issues for the both of us, but a really serious one for me.

Then three things happened in very short order:

1. The website required attention and the rebuilding of the database.
2. Our physical problems came to the absolute fore.
3. And something more...

Dealing any one of these would have been quite enough, but all three? No facking way! Doctoring and preparing for possible major surgery did of course, take precedence and hopefully soon will restore my full physical abilities though sure my mental status remains beyond any hope of redemption. In between appointments I've managed to get The Project up and crawling.

Again to all - a big thanks. Any one of you can easily step in for me and do a better job, so please do so. Sue Sea and I will do our best to participate...

Thanks ever so much...

Yay! And more than that, I hope the health issues are no longer a threat to you or SueSea.

I'll raise a glass to good health and the return of the Rum Project, and since I've laid hands on Seale's, I think that should do nicely, eh wot? :D

Thanks again...

I want to say that we missed all of you as well. It has always been a great honor to be blessed by you the "regulars" who are committed, intelligent and part of the solution. With posters like you we know we are not alone in standing against the massive corporate bullshit that has absolutely no mercy or real appreciation of tradition, and who skirt the both the intent and spirit of the law.

Their marketing depends on promoting ignorance of the real history and value of relatively pure spirits. Having had some time off, we have even more keenly appreciated that there are really precious few rums of true quality and honest craftsmanship. No one has to own 200 rums but could do quite well with about one tenth of them.

The classics - the MGXO's, AE12, Barbancourts, Pussers, an El Dorado or two, and even still the Matusalems, W&N OP, and a few more. Who really needs the rest? But I digress.

Again, thanks. My medical tests are now complete and I await the results...

Well I'd written you off as well. I thought that perhaps the the lawyers were having their wicked ways with your cavities. I hope your health and other situations right themselves.

A toast to you Jimbo.
