Such is life...
And Grudgemeister Silvio has decided to return as an active alpha "regular" to the Shillery, cautiously speaking out, but primarily on trivia or "safe" issues approved by the Preacher. This is simply a means of self-promotion to the hairy simians. The real truth is that those other webmasters who once posted there but left to establish their own successful sites had very little reason or desire to return to the Shillery, and they didn't.
Correct me, but I've never seen a Seale post there; rather he has chosen to speak out in other more appropriate and supportive venues, not least here. He knows enough to fish where the fish are biting.
Unfortunately the Miami Death of Rum Fest has become a must attend for serious distillers and distributors to network. It's just doing business, though I suspect Richard's views are well known there, as are Carl Kanto's and a few others. The hopeful micro-distillers who attend with the notion of being discovered and distributed leave almost as anonymously as they arrived. Heard much about Lost Spirits lately?
Still lost...

Like you say Jimbo it's just doing business. Who in this day and age with biased competition can afford not to take every oppotunity to promote there wares. If foursquare and other like minded distillers loose market share or go out of business then it makes life easier for the fake rum producers and harder for us.
