Sitting here with my second rum and coke and I'll just say for £16 if you are looking for a decent mixer you won't go far wrong with this stuff. Makes a nice rum and coke. Not available outside the UK not under this name at least but, for us Brits it's well worth the price of a bottle beats captain dishwater hands down with out a problem.
Just thought i'd pass this on for anyone else out there.
here is a review I read a while back on it:

From the distiller:
An eight year old Trini rum at supermarket pricing sounds very interesting. We'd sure try it...""Following careful distillation, the spirit is filled to oak casks which have previously been used for the maturation of Cognac, wine and predominantly Bourbon to mature for a minimum of 8 years in the temperate Caribbean climate. Over the ageing period, complex flavours are imparted into the spirit from the wood. This rum is a blend of individual casks with a minimum of 8 years old, which are blended to create the desired rich and complex taste profile."
By no means a sipper but, it does make a nice mixer Jimbo. It will hold it's own with any of the branded rums that are known mixers. I'm glad I tried it as I found another cheap mixer since Aldi has run out of Ron Mulata the special has come to an end.
Given the choice I think I'd drop £16 on this than Captain Morgan (this is not the Captain Morgan I use to drink in my youth) or Lambs and Bacardi.
I had Some of this taste the difference and Ron Mulata last night and the supermarket rum held up well. So if you are in the UK give it a go you might just get a nice surprise.
